# Affiliate.txt

> Affiliate.txt is an open, non-commercial draft standard for publishing clear and machine-readable affiliate program rules. The project is written in Russian and is open to advertisers, publishers, CPA networks, affiliate managers, anti-fraud teams, researchers, and independent contributors.

Affiliate.txt proposes that an advertiser publish a plain-text manifest at `/.well-known/affiliate.txt`. The manifest provides a canonical public source for program contacts, offer status, allowed and forbidden traffic sources, attribution windows, assets, policy links, change dates, and dispute procedures.

Important interpretation notes:
- The current format is a public draft, version 0.1, not an adopted industry standard.
- Affiliate.txt does not replace contracts, partner platforms, payments, evidence review, or dispute resolution.
- The project is not a blacklist and does not determine guilt.
- Examples use fictional organizations and conditions.
- The website and specification are public and non-commercial; anyone may propose changes or test implementations.
